Report Share. Pros catered lunches, monthly. Cons teamwork was encouraged, but not practiced. It was good till changes took place. New Management and things started to go downward after that. Warehouses stared to shut down. Then it lead to being moved. Pros Woking hours. Cons Short bteaks. Opportunity to learn new things, and how to use machinery.

I knew how to drive a forklift, but I was taught and given the opportunity to learn more heavy machinery, like a front loader, crane, yard goat and many other skill sets given to me by the patient co-workers and management teamz.

Too much standing tear down and pallet distribution Former Employee - Tennessee - December 14, Very good and friendly I will love to work with the company again if they are employing. Good team work and loving environment. I was happy working with the company. Am interested to apply directly to the company and not a recruiter. Would you recommend working at your company? Expect to be worked to death for minimum wage. If you like working in the hot sun, for basically minimum wage, 10 hour shifts, then this job is for you all the way. I have been trained in multiple areas and was promised a raise multiple times-to no avail. It's pretty ridiculous that Walmart is willing to pay more starting out.

I have been with Sims for two year and still make peanuts. It is ludicrous. Also, the employees are practically abused by the managers. The only good part about Sims is the safety coordinator-Lucy. She brings joy and cheerfulness to the plant but that's it.

Oh, and the occasional paid lunches. Those are nice. Pros Safety. Cons Pay. Low paying company feels like u are in jail going in and out not to mention the cameras on u you all day like u was a criminal. If you like going to visit peopla in jail this is the place for u. Good team work and loving environment.

You have to remove your sneakers and run them thru a metal detector.

Started working there as a temporary employee. Worked there for approximately nine months before being hired full time. Worked for approximately five years before the warehouse closed and everyone was laid off.

The people in IT at West Chicago are great. The company management not so much. The management had no direction and would fight among themselves on almost every topic. This caused delays and disruptions in the IT group when we tried to write an application for the managers. Great place to work. And location. You can level up in this company. Yes There are 1 helpful reviews 1 No. We want to help you find great companies. Help us be the best!

I enjoyed working at Sims Recycling, we were like a family. I felt very sad that the company here in Maryland had to close down. The supervisors and the boss really made us feel like we were good workers and rewarded us for our efforts. The pay is a little low but it's alright for someone who'd just got off from school. Management are chill. Meet alot of different cultures. Would reccomend. Productive and fun place to work. My overall experience working there was great!! I have been trained in multiple areas and was promised a raise multiple times-to no avail.

Would reccomend. Productive and fun place to work. My overall experience working there was great!! The people were friendly and we had a lot of fun while still working and meeting goals. Management and corporate sucks. Some were treated unfair and let go because they had previous experience or to much knowledge.

My advice to any business owners or tech smart people to play dumb and don't mention about your entrepreneurial achievements if you want to keep your job. It was a great company to work for.

They are awesome to their employees also sims care about everyone's safety. Great management! All around great company , good moneu.
